Do you like the idea of having a trail from French Post Park to the historic Burnett's Creek Arch?

Years ago, I lived in a rural village in Germany, and I saw something I wish every American family would take up. On Sunday afternoons, entire families would walk together, all holding hands, and traversing wooded trails, small roads, and even some not so well known paths. The walks would go on for quite a number of miles at a leisurely pace. They carried food and water in backpacks. It was family time; it was exercise; and it was wonderful! Occasionally, there was an organized walk called a Volksmarch (sort of like a marathon, but without the competition). This was a popular social event as well as family time. Whole villages would participate, and visitors were welcome. Families would travel some distance to walk in a Volksmarch.

Just think what practices like this would do for family life and communities as a whole. The trails are just the beginning of an opportunity!
