Carroll County Historical Society has been working hard to acquire a piece of local history.

The Society announced earlier that it had started a campaign to raise funds to buy the Gros family trade sign, which once hung outside the family's clock shop on Main Street in Delphi.

The goal was to raise $5,000 in order to buy the clock sign and keep it local. To date, the Society has raised $2,000.

Henry (Wm.) Gros of Delphi had this item for his shop, and it had been stored in the family home until being sold several years ago.
