Daffodil Days are delayed
Due to unseasonable cold and snowy weather in Washington State where the American Cancer Society daffodils are grown, the flowers were not able to be harvested in time for distribution on March 19. Consequently, the delivery date has been moved back a week to March 25-26.
Volunteers will wrap 400 bunches of daffodils for distribution to businesses and individuals all over Carroll County. Daffodils still are available for a minimum donation at participating locations: Delphi United Methodist Church, Thursday, March 26, from 10-4 p.m.; The Flower Shoppe, Flora, Thursday, March 26, from 10-4 p.m.; or by contacting the American Cancer Society at (765) 455- 9905 -sandra. chapin@cancer.org
The goal for this year is $5,000. The money raised goes to the American Cancer Society and will be used as funding for research, education, advocacy and service.
