Carroll FCCLA senior high attends state conference
Carroll freshman members and officers from the local chapter of Family, Career and Community Leaders of America attended the state conference in Indianapolis.
New advisor Erica Rich and former advisor Diana Alter were among those present for the event on March 6 and 7. Performing judging duties were Mrs. Alter and Carroll's former local, district, and state officers, Nicole Brafford and Devin Smith.
Members observed project presentations and attended mini-sessions on traffic safety, career connecting, fast food facts, financial fitness, and stress and time management.
Motivational speaker Grant Baldwin talked on priorities and schedules that can make the biggest difference so there can be a reasonable balance in life.
Another speaker, world famous entertainer David DiMuzio, shared ways to be the best and be content in career choices.
Paige Cook, local chapter president, was part of the voting delegate team who helped with the interviewing process for state officer candidates. Other freshmen attending were Alyssa Ingram, Stephanie Joseph, Amy Schnieb, Ashley Bennington, and Drew Mc- Combs.
