Singers are being sought for the Flora Area Easter Sunrise Service.

The cantata, "The Resurrection and the Life," will be presented at the annual Easter celebration, April 12 at 6:30 a.m., sponsored by the Flora Area Ministerial Association. This year's service will be held at the Flora United Methodist Church.

Area singers are invited and encouraged to participate. Four practices will be held - Sunday afternoons, March 15, March 22, March 29 and April 5. The cantata will be directed by Dave Kitchell.

All practices will be held from 2 to 4 p.m. at the Flora United Methodist Church, 107 East Main Street.

"The Resurrection and the Life" is a collection of dramatic and musical scenes from Christ's life, beginning with his triumphant entry into Jerusalem, the journey of his passion, his crucifixion and the resurrection.

This musical story of redemption in song and scriptural narration was created by Deborah Craig-Claar and Robert Sterling with arrangements and orchestration by Robert Sterling. The song selection includes: "In Remembrance," "In Your Name," "You Are My All in All," "Shout to the Lord," "The Wondrous Cross," and "We Followed the Man."
