Free Spanish classes for beginners and intermediate students are offered Wednesdays from 6 to 7 p.m. at the library. Registration is necessary.
Trained volunteers will help low income and elderly filers every other Saturday through April 11. The next date for assistance is March 14. Filers must call for an appointment.
March 27 book club will feature "Dancing Under the Red Star" by Karl Tobien at 9 a.m. The true-life story is about Henry Ford's decision to send 450 Detroit autoworkers and their families to Gory, Russia, to operate a new manufacturing facility under terrifying conditions under the dictator Joseph Stalin.
Traveler's Dream, with Denise Wilson and Michael Lewis, will play the Little Theatre April 7 at 7 p.m. The free concert is hosted by the library and made possible through support from Tippecanoe Arts Federation. The singers captivate audiences with Irish jigs and reels, French-Canadian voyageur songs, sea shanties, Scottish ballads, and songs which preserve the heart and history of diverse cultures.
"A Watercolor Artshop" with Rena Brouwer will be April 18 from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. Participants will spend the day along the banks of Deer Creek painting the buds and blossoms of spring and receive instruction from Brouwer. The workshop and materials, made possible through the support of Tippecanoe Arts Federation, are free. Registration begins April 1 for the first 15 registrants.

The Almost Spring Book Sale begins tomorrow (Thursday) and ends on Saturday. The sale is open during normal operating hours. There is something for everyone, and the prices are rock bottom! The Almost Spring Book Sale is sponsored by the Friends of the Library. Come early for the best selection.
Are you planning your garden? Jumpstart the garden season by coming to the Soil and Seed spring garden program, Wednesday, March 18, at 7 p.m. in the Richter Program Room. Join several Master Gardeners from the Carroll County Garden Club as they share thoughts for your garden and yard. Bring your questions, leave with lots of ideas!
Next Wednesday, March 18, at 10 a.m., the Flora Library Book Club will meet in the Flora Senior Center. This month's selection takes the reader to North Carolina's low country in the novel, "Sweetwater Creek," by Anne Rivers Siddons. New members are always welcome.
New displays from Carroll Elementary School's fourth grade art enrichment classes are on exhibit in the program room. Included in the show are pastel still lifes, paper batiks, and monochromatic color collages.
The next storytime theme is, "St. Patrick's Day." Leprechauns, rainbows, wearin' of the green and of course a lil' blarney! Storytime is Tuesday mornings at 10 a.m.
