Delphi CWF
The CWF of the Delphi Christian Church met March 2 with Katie Cree as hostess.
Eight people answered roll call by showing something special that was given to them by a friend.
Committees were named for the Easter sunrise breakfast.
The Ladies Spring Banquet will be May 4 at the church. Sara Daley Brosman will be the speaker.
Pat Curts and Pat Mulbarger are the nominating committee.
Fairy Hackerd gave the lesson on Jonah.
The next meeting will be at St. Elizabeth Healthcare on April 6 at 6:30 p.m. with Pat Curts as hostess.
Delphi Rotary Club
Delphi Rotary Club met March 3 at the Delphi United Methodist Church. The group welcomed back Steve Nichols after surviving a serious automobile accident.
Joe Mayfield presented a program about the growth of wind farms. There are 309 wind turbines in Benton County and each turbine can generate enough power to support 400 homes. The turbines will be generating electricity by this spring. Construction of 120 towers, the Meadow Lake Wind Farm in White County, will begin in April.
Bridge-A-Rama
Proceeds from Bridge-ARama support Tri Kappa scholarships.
Bridge-A-Rama high scores for February were Marion Hathaway and Don Billings with 4,750 points, Rita Wingard and Donnabelle Sieber with 3,630 points and Mary Clifford and Wingard with 3,160 points.
High scores in each group were Samantha Watkins and Betty Huffman, Joyce Sullivan and Wingard, Joan Maxwell and Helen Schilling, Leanne Aldridge and Mary Brown, Betty Jean Sprague and Sharon Quinn, Pat Myer and Ginny Emerson, Marion and Janet Hathaway and Bob Crume and Jack Cohee.
