Carroll repeats as sectional champ
Road to title not an easy one

      The Carroll Cougars (19-4) successfully defended their Class 2A Sectional 37 title by defeating Seeger (13-9) 56-53. The score was almost identical to last year's win over Seeger, 56-54. The Spesard cousins, Adam and Carson, led the way for Carroll. Carson had a doubledouble with 16 points and 11 rebounds, while Adam had 15 points. Adam was also Kiss Country 103.

Carroll fans - get your tickets
      Regional ticket sales are underway at Carroll Jr.-Sr. High School. Tickets are available at the bookstore for $9 for a session pass. "We expect the tournament to be sold out," said Carroll athletic director Shaun Rose.

Tourney winner
      Delphi's 8th grade girls basketball team won the Tri-County Tournament on Saturday. The team first defeated North White and then Frontier in the championship contest. The girls also recently defeated Carroll and Wea Ridge teams.

      Busy week for DCMS swimmers The Delphi Community Middle School swim team had a busy week competing in four meets. Last week in the battle for the county championship, Delphi came out on top with a score of 115-70.

DCMS swimathon fundraiser is Saturday
      Delphi Middle School swim team will hold a swimathon fundraiser on Saturday from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. The swimmers are asking for pledges per lap swam, 200 laps maximum or 2 hours whichever comes first. The funds will be used to purchase equipment for the Delphi swim teams.
