Do you agree with Delphi school board's decision to limit public comments to the beginning of the meeting? Yes 64% No 36% Total responses: 418 Reader's comments:

I oppose this due to the fact that not all information is available until discussion begins. Individuals may question and should be able to speak on an agenda before the board votes. That is why we have open door policies to enable public voice.

It appears that the DCSC school board is going to permit public comments at the "ban the books" school board session. [See the Lafayette JC newspaper, front page, 3/5/09 edition.]This would appear to be a change in the board's vote and decision concerning public comments. The recent decision of the board was that public comments were to come prior to the business portion of the school board meeting, and not during the regular board meeting time. It will be interesting as to how this school board meeting is conducted in light of the recent board policy concerning public comments.
