Danielle Hicks of Flora and Bryan Appleton of Deer Creek announce their engagement.

The bride-elect is the daughter of the late Weldon Hicks. She is a 2000 graduate of Carroll Jr.-Sr. High School and a 2005 graduate of Purdue University with a Bachelor of Science degree in agricultural finance. She is employed at Beacon Credit Union as an agricultural/commercial lending specialist. She is also an independent consultant for Mary Kay Cosmetics.

Her fiancé is the son of Jeffrey and Teresa Appleton. He is a 1997 graduate of Carroll Jr.-Sr. High School and is employed at Long & Hufford Farms, Inc.

They are planning a Sept. 19 wedding.
