Carroll County needs foster parents
The Region V Department of Child Services is seeking people from Carroll County as well as Benton, Clinton, Fountain, Tippecanoe, Warren and White counties to become foster parents. Individuals are needed to provide a safe and loving home for children, ages newborn to 18, whose parents are temporarily unable to care for them.
Foster parents determine the age, race, gender, special needs and length of time they are willing to foster a child.
The next 20-hour training series for prospective foster and adoptive parents will be March 14, 21 and 28 from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. at the Monticello library and April 11, 18 and 25 from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. at the Tippecanoe County Department of Child Services (DCS) in Lafayette.
An additional six hours of training for "Permanency and Adoption" will be March 30 and 31 from 6 to 9 p.m. at the Monticello library and May 2 from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. at the Tippecanoe County DCS.
