Annabelle Sparks

Annabelle Sparks, 82, of Bringhust, died at 2:48 p.m., March 3, 2009, at Milner Community Healthcare, Rossville. She had lived there one day.

Born Oct. 4, 1926, in Monroe Township, she was the daughter of Glen and Ruth Garrison Smith. She married Barney V. Sparks on Jan. 2, 1946, and he preceded her in death on June 9, 2001.

She was a 1944 graduate of Flora High School and was retired from Sears in Logansport where she worked in sales.

Mrs. Sparks attended Crossroads Community Christian Church. She was a member of Delphi Art Club, Carrollton Township Extension Homemakers Club, and Flora Singles Club.

She enjoyed her family and friends, especially her grandchildren.

Surviving are one daughter, Jill Sheagley (husband: Scott) of Bringhurst; one son, Jay Sparks (companion: Laura Allen) of Cutler; six grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by one daughter, Julie Forgey, and one brother, Robert Smith.

Services will be Friday at 10:30 a.m. at Baker Funeral Home, Flora, with Pastor Dan Butcher officiating. Visitation will be Thursday from 4 to 8 p.m. Burial will be in Maple Lawn Cemetery.
