Kindergartners at Camden Early Childhood Center each got to pick out a free book on Monday as part of their celebration of Read Across America. The take-home books were provided by the Beta Psi (Delphi) Chapter of Psi Iota Xi. The chapter also gave each teacher $100 for purchasing books for their classroom libraries. More...
Third county park to be established

The progress of the Burnett's Creek Arch project on Towpath Rd. was explained to Carroll County Commissioners at a meeting Monday morning. According to American Structure Point Department Manager Michael Wenning, there are two components to the project - rehabilitation of the bridge and construction of another county-owned park. The DCHS boys swim team finished its season Friday evening at the state swim meet. The 200 medley relay team of Kyle Price, Clint McLeland, Andrew Burton and Jeremy Sterrett moved up four spots, finishing 24th with a time of 1:41.21. The Battle of the Books season ended Feb. 26 with the Delphi team being victorious and retaining the prized Bacon Bowl skillet for the third year in a row. Annabelle Sparks, 82, of Bringhust, died at 2:48 p.m., March 3, 2009, at Milner Community Healthcare, Rossville. She had lived there one day.
