All students in grades K-12 are invited to join Homework Help Night every Tuesday from 5-7 p.m. at the Burlington Community Library. Receive help on homework assignments, utilize the Internet, and more. The service is free.
The library's meeting room can be reserved for students working on group assignments. If interested, contact Karen at the library at (765) 566-3166.

Carroll County Earned Income Tax Credit Coalition will assist middle and low-income filers with 2008 income tax returns every other Saturday. Appointments are necessary.
Feb. 19 Cinema Night will feature "Snowcake" at 7 p.m. The film stars Sigourney Weaver, Alan Rickman and Carrie-Anne Moss. Discussion and refreshments follow.
By 2020, 18 percent of our nation will be more than 65 years old. A discussion of "Growing Old Gracefully" and "The Gift of Years; Growing Old Gracefully" will be Feb. 24 at 7 p.m. for those who are 65 or older - or will enter it in the next 12 years - or for those who have relatives in that age bracket. Librarians Marcia Sledd and Janet Hildreth will discuss the books and discussion will follow. Reservations are requested.
Glean creative inspiration and enhance writing skills with "Writing and the Creative Process" by Indiana author Barb Shoup in a lively presentation April 15. at 7 p.m. in the program room. Reservations are required.

Are you trying to find a new career or job in this tough economy? Save time, money and gas while you search from the comfort of your hometown library. A new computer class, Internet Job Searching, will be offered Monday, Feb. 23, at 10 a.m. This workshop will show you the best sites and places to look for employment. We'll also show you how to post your resume to the online sites. Registration is required for this free class. Stop by the main desk or call the library, 967-3912.
The new art display in the Richter Program Room is from the Carroll Jr.-Sr. High School art enrichment class. The students learned about the concepts of chiaroscuro and tenebrism, art methods using many dark and light shades to create contrasts. These contrasts help create the appearance of three-dimensional objects. The students created chalk drawings using these ideas. Carroll art enrichment is taught by Grace Woodruff.
The theme for next storytime is "Let's Go to the Dentist." It's National Children's Dental Health Month. Find out why it's important to take care of our teeth. We'll have stories with "bite" today! Storytime is Tuesday morning at 10 a.m.
Listening to a story any time of day is just a phone call away! Call the library's Diala Story line, 967-3814, to hear the tale of "George Washington and the Cherry Tree." The new story on Friday will be "George Washington and the Colt."
