McCarty Eileen McCarty of Burrows, celebrated her 80th birthday on Feb. 6. A family celebration was held in her honor.

A homemaker, she was born in Monroe, Mich., in 1929, and has been a Carroll County resident for most of her life. She graduated from Rockfield High School.

She is retired after working several years for the Carroll County Treasurer's Office and RBM.

She enjoys her grandchildren, crocheting, baking, gardening, flowers and putting together puzzles.

Mrs. McCarty has three children, Debbie Rush (husband: Bob) of Camden, Steve McCarty of Burrows and Mark McCarty (wife: Susan) of Burrows; five grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren.
