Old barns from the 1800s are disappearing from the landscape. But some of those vintage timbers are reappearing in the framing and decorating of new high end homes, lodges, and commercial buildings. Bill and Rosalee Seward, 6354 E. St. Rd. 18, Flora, celebrated their 60th wedding anniversary with an open house on Feb. 8. Services for Faye Simms, 67, of Flora, were held Friday at Baker Funeral Home, Flora. Burial followed at Maple Lawn Cemetery. She died Wed., Feb. 4, 2009, at Clarion Arnett Hospital, Lafayette. Born Nov. 26, 1941, in Rienzi, Miss., she was the daughter of Robert Gifford and Ruby Rinehart. Her marriage was to Paul E. Simms in 1969. He preceded her in death in 2000. More...
