Area IV Agency on Aging and Community Action Programs received a $1,500 special grant from the Vectren Foundation to assist elderly clients, served by Vectren who reside in Carroll, Clinton, Tippecanoe or White counties, with gas-related energy expenses.

"We continue to see an increase in the number of new individuals and families needing energy assistance this season. Many individuals have not sought assistance in years past, but the current economy has made it more difficult for all." Executive Director Sharon Wood said. "We are fortunate to have community partners such as Vectren who realize the severity of this situation and want to help in any way they can."
