Martha A. Hardesty, 73 of South Bend died Jan. 20, 2009. Born Dec. 6, 1935, in Deer Creek, she was the daughter of Warren and Anna Moore Martin. She attended Deer Creek High School. In 1953 he married Francies Gene "Frank" Hardesty who died in 1974. Among the survivors are a sister, Perrietta Appleton (husband: Dean) of Indianapolis, and four brothers, Warren Martin (wife: Sandy) and Charles Martin of Carroll County, Bobby Lee Martin (wife: Erin) and John Martin (wife: Cara), both of Texas. Services were held Saturday in South Bend.

Evelyn Marie Schidler Galloway, 69, of Lafayette, died Jan. 20 at Home Hospital in Lafayette. Among the survivors are three brothers, Donald Schidler, and twin brothers, Kenny and Lenny Schidler, all of Delphi. Private services will be held.

Dorothy Davis, 74, of Lafayette, died Jan. 24 at Clarian Arnett Hospital in Lafayette. Among the survivors is a son, Paul Davis (companion: Julie Conner) of Delphi. Services will be today, Wednesday, in Lafayette.

Robert J. Weatherwax, 89, of Lafayette, died Jan. 21 in Fort Myers Beach, Fla. Among the survivors is a son, Van D. "Deet" Weatherwax (wife: Belinda) of Delphi. Services will be Jan. 29 in Lafayette.

Donald E. "Shorty" Magers, 82, of Lafayette, died Jan. 25 at St. Elizabeth Medical Center in Lafayette. Among the survivors is a daughter, Dianna Rittenhouse (husband: Harlan) of Delphi. Services are today, Wednesday, in Lafayette.
