John H. Mount

John H. "Hollie" Mount, 66, of Monticello, died at 11:54 p.m. Sunday, Jan. 25, 2009, at St. Vincent Hospital, Indianapolis.

He was born Aug. 18, 1942, in Frankfort, to the late John and Marybelle Adams Mount. He graduated from Delphi High School and attended National School of Aeronautics for a year and finished his electrical apprenticeship.

On June 25, 1977, in Lafayette, he married Jane Fairchild and she survives .

John worked as an electrician for 40 years before retiring in 2002 .

He was a member of IBEW #668 and the VFW in Monticello.

He enjoyed fishing, hunting, woodworking, golf and playing poker.

John always put his family first.

Surviving with his wife are three daughters, Mary Jane Phillips and Holly Jo Frey (husband: Marvin), both of Lafayette, and Robin A. Bransteter (husband: Bryan) of Fishers; two sons, A. Butch Hoyt (wife: Pam) of Gainesville, Mo., and Aaron Christopher Hoyt (wife: Leslie) of Little Rock, Ark.; eight grandchildren, JD, Aaron, Collin, Bryce, Carly Jo, Madi, Trevor, and Bradley; and four greatgrandchildren, Kloe, Maddox Johnathan, Aleena, and Lucy.

Visitation will be from 5:30 to 7:30 p.m. Thursday at Soller-Baker West Lafayette Chapel. A celebration of John's life will be held at his daughter's residence following visitation, Directions will be available at visitation.
