The first of six BUSINESS ENHANCEMENT WORKSHOPS for minority and women contractors will be Jan. 28 from 8 a.m. to noon at Ivy Tech Community College, Lawrence Campus, Richard M. Fairbanks Center for Health Professions Auditorium, 9301 E. 59th St., Indianapolis. The remaining workshops are April 21 and May 19 from 8 a.m. to noon and Feb. 10, March 2 and March 24 from 11:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. All workshops are free and open to the public. BEREAVEMENT GROUP SESSIONS will start Feb. 16 from 6:30 to 8:30 p.m. at the First United Methodist Church, 1700 SR26W, West Lafayette. Sessions will run weekly through April 20. RAPE AGGRESSION DEFENSE (R.A.D.) instruction will take place Feb. 3-5 from 4 to 8 p.m. at the Kelley Student Center, room 130, Indiana University Kokomo, for all women age 16 or older. The class is limited to 15 participants. No prior experience or training is required and participants do not have to be "in shape." Lafayette Symphony Orchestra will culminate a daylong lineup of free musical performances for schoolchildren and families with the annual LOLLIPOP FAMILY CONCERT at 7 p.m. Feb. 6 at the Long Center for the Performing Arts, Lafayette. For young and old lovers of music, the LSO will provide an Instrument Petting Zoo at 6 p.m., an hour before the concert, in the Virgil St. John Pavilion at the Long Center.
