Carroll County Historical Society's first meeting for 2009 was held, with 13 members present.

The new budget committee will be Carol Dickman, Lou Ann Clugh, Joyce Sturdivent, Phyllis Porter, and Phyllis Moore. They will set up a proposed budget to be voted on.

Fundraising was discussed, and the following committee was formed to come up with possible ideas: Steve Mulligan, Cindy Knoth, and Carol Oliver.

Policy and procedures were also discussed. The board appointed Lou Ann Clugh and Steve Mulligan to draw up new bylaws and procedures for the board to act on.

Grants are being headed up by Melissa Oliver and several others.

Three events are being planned: Appraisal Fair in May, participation in the Transportation Fair in June, and Old Settlers in August.

The museum will have an information booth at the Transportation Fair and will display boat motors that were built in Carroll County. Steve Mulligan will be on hand to tell about their history.

The next meeting will be held at the Delphi Library on the first Monday in February.
