Meade breaks wrestling record

Photo provided Chase Meade broke the 100+ wins mark for Carroll wrestling last week. The fouryear Cougar wrestler went undefeated for the day at the Lafayette Jeff Invitational.
Teammate Cody Kelly got the fastest takedown in 7 seconds and fastest pin in 25 seconds.
The team defeated conference rival Central Catholic at the Invitational for the second time this year with a score of 48-30. Carroll also defeated Attica 66-12.
Josh Holda also went undefeated on Saturday. He put in a gritty performance in spite of an illness just days before the invitational. Kelly, Jared Collins, Montana Gangwer, and Kameron Casto were all 4-1 for the day. Trey Overholser and Cody Meade both finished with scores of 3-2.
The team will be at Tri Central on Saturday for another invitational, with a 9 a.m. start time.
