Donald L. Hankins
Donald L. Hankins, 79, of Lafayette, formerly of Carroll County, died Jan. 10, 2009, at St. Ant hony's Healthcare in Lafayette.
Born Nov. 4, 1929, in Camden, he was the son of the late Walter Ray and Lillian Snipes Hankins. His marriage was on Aug. 25, 1984, to Anna M. Lucas Hankins, who survives.
Mr. Hankins was a selfemployed farmer in Carroll and Tippecanoe counties for all of his life.
He was a member of the Logansport Church of Christ.
Also surviving are: two sons, Richard Hankins of Lafayette and Steven Hankins (wife: Debbie) of Estero, Fla.; three stepsons, Mike Hankins (wife: Brenda) of Delphi, Gary Hankins (wife: Margo), and Jim Hankins (wife: Terri), both of Logansport; a stepdaughter, Janet Schneidt (husband: Dale) of Lafayette; two brothers, Bob Hankins of Milwaukee, Wis., and David Hankins (wife: Becky) of Lafayette; 18 grandchildren; and 18 greatgrandchildren.
Services will be today, Wednesday, at 1 p.m. at Davidson Funeral Home, Delphi. Burial will follow at Seceder Cemetery in northern Carroll County.
