Eva L. Mocherman, 91, a resident of Carroll Manor for the past seven years, passed away at 3:17 p.m. Saturday, Jan. 10, 2009, at Howard Regional Hospital in Kokomo.

She was born April 15, 1917, in Carroll County, to John W. and Hulda C. Bingaman Arion. She attended Rockfield High School. On Sept. 27, 1935, she eloped with Woodrow Mocherman to Michigan. They were married 66 years before his death on Oct. 11, 2001.

Mrs. Mocherman had worked at RBM in Logansport and managed apartments in Shelbyville.

She was a member of the Flora First Baptist Church.

She loved fishing and enjoyed animals.

Surviving are two grandchildren, Cory Angle and Carla Tetreault; two greatgrandchildren, Cole Angle and Jordan Wilson; and two sisters, Marjorie Pownall of Tucson, Ariz., and Deloris Sherman of Logansport.

She was preceded in death by her beloved daughter, Beverley Angle, and a brother.

Services will be held today, Wednesday, at 10 a.m. at Reinke Funeral Home, Flora. Pastor Scott Gamel will officiate. Burial will follow at Zion Cemetery in Bringhurst.

The family would like to thank the employees of Carroll Manor for the care she received while there. She thought of them as family and the Manor as home.
