Martha L. Sanderson
Martha Louise Sanderson, 98, died Sunday, Jan. 11, 2009, at St. Elizabeth Healthcare Center, Delphi. She had been a resident there five years.
Born March 10, 1910, in Indiana, she was the daughter of Ross and Roxie Barnard Wagoner. She married Thomas F. Sanderson on Aug. 12, 1933, in South Bend, and he preceded her in death on June 28, 1979.
Mrs. Sanderson was a member of Burrows Presbyterian Church where she served as elder and was past president of the church's women's group, United Presbyterian Women. She was a charter member of the Camden Community Club, a charter member of the former Mother's Lunch Club at the Camden School, a 77-year member of Order of the Eastern Star 475 at Camden, and a member of Jackson Township Extension Homemakers Club.
A homemaker, her hobbies were her farm life and her family, especially her grandchildren.
Surviving are two daughters, Betty Mills (husband: Steven) of Flora and Nancy Williams (husband: Thomas) of Kokomo; seven grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren. Besides her husband, she was preceded in death by one son, one grandson, two brothers and two sisters.
Services will be today (Wednesday) at 3 p.m. at Cree Funeral Home, Camden, with Pastor Nick Clark of the Burrows Presbyterian Church officiating. Visitation will be today from 1 to 3 p.m. Burial will be in Camden Cemetery.
