Delta Theta Chi Sorority, a national non-collegiate educational sorority, is accepting applications for several scholarships.

Deadline to apply for three national scholarships, two in the amount of $3,500 each and one in the amount of $1,800, is Feb. 1. Requirements call for a high scholastic average, evidence of financial need, currently enrolled or planning to enroll in an accredited college, and an application form, with attachments as specified by the sorority's National Executive Council. Winning applicants will be notified by May.

For applications, contact the Delphi or Carroll guidance departments. Applications must be submitted to Delta Theta Chi Sorority, Gamma Chapter, Charlene Davis, 312 E. Main St., Flora, IN 46929, phone (574) 967-4202.

Local scholarships

The local Delta Theta Chi Sorority is offering $300 scholarships to a student at both Carroll and Delphi Community high schools. The scholarships will be awarded to liberal arts majors that include English, arts, humanities, languages, history, journalism, sociology, psychology, music, political science, geography, economics, creative studies, and oral communications.

Deadline to apply for the local scholarships is March 21. For an application, visit the school guidance office or contact Davis.
