Thank you, ladies

The recent fire at The Andersons Cob Mill tasked the Camden-Jackson Township Volunteer Fire Department, and others, heavily. Firefighters from our company operated tank trucks and maintained the water source for an estimated 137 hours. The duty was endless, cold and exhausting.

Having said that, each of our members sung the high praises of the Delphi fire department's Ladies Auxiliary. As a result of your coordinated and tireless efforts each of our firefighters received nourishment and the creature comforts needed to sustain such a large-scale operation.

Even though the gratitude may not have been expressed at the time, your performance above and beyond the call of duty was not lost on us. No words can truly express our appreciation for the amenities you provided.

Your role in this operation was an un-sung necessity. Each of you has earned a full measure of pride that accompanies selfless service to one's community.

Gary J. Stanley, lieutenant,

on behalf of the Camden-Jackson Township

Volunteer Fire Department
