The Greater Lafayette Parish Nurse Development Center and the Kathryn Weil Center for Education will host the second annual "Sowing Seeds of Caring: SUPPORTING COMMUNITY FAITH-BASED NURSING" from 9 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. on Jan. 24, at the Kathryn Weil Center for Education. This program is for clergy, nurses and health care professionals who are interested in learning about faith-based nursing programs in congregations and faith communities. The West-central chapter of the Indiana Native Plant & Wildflower Society is sponsoring a program by Jim Peterson, the manager at Clegg Gardens, titled "PRAIRIE WILDFLOWERS AT CLEGG GARDENS." AMERICAN RED CROSS announced requirements for double red cell donors are as follows: all donors must be 18 years of age or older, males must weigh at least 130 pounds (formerly 150) and stand at 5'1" tall, females must weigh at least 150 pounds (formerly 175) and stand at 5'5" tall. The Greentown Historical Society is now accepting artifacts and items of interest for the NATIVE AMERICAN INDIAN EXHIBIT to open in March. The purpose of the exhibit is to explore the lives of the Indian tribes who lived in eastern Howard County.
