DCHS 400 free relay team breaks 32-year-old record
      Delphi's 400-meter freestyle relay team of Andrew Burton, Jeremy Sterrett, Jared Kelly and Kyle Price, broke a 32-year old school record last Wednesday at home against Twin Lakes. The record dates back to 1977. The new record time is 3:27.86.

Lady Cougars win two, lose one after long holiday break
      After taking a three week break from basketball games during the holidays, the Lady Cougars returned to the hardwood on Friday to challenge the Clinton Central Bulldogs. This game was close for the first quarter, but the Lady Cougars pulled away in the second stanza and ran away with a 62-42 victory over the Bulldogs.

Hornets gain revenge over Oracles
      After a full three weeks off from game competition for the holiday break the Oracles reverted back to some early season nuisances in their return to action over the weekend. The Oracles came up short in both games, to Northwestern 58-41 on Friday and to Rossville on Saturday, 85- 57.

Tipton overwhelms Lady Oracles
      The Tipton Lady Blue Devils visited Delphi Saturday with a varsity roster entirely made up of underclassmen. The six sophomores and six freshmen sprang out to a big first quarter lead and coasted the rest of the way in a 58-41 win.

Meade breaks wrestling record
      Chase Meade broke the 100+ wins mark for Carroll wrestling last week. The fouryear Cougar wrestler went undefeated for the day at the Lafayette Jeff Invitational. Teammate Cody Kelly got the fastest takedown in 7 seconds and fastest pin in 25 seconds.

Oracle wrestlers win big over West Lafayette
      Delphi wrestling team soundly defeated the Red Devils of West Lafayette 68- 6 last week, raising their dual meet record to 16-9. Winning for the Oracles were: Brandon Delaney won by decision at 160 pounds. Braden Atwood won by a first period fall at 171, as did Daniel Clawson and Travis Yoakum at 189 and 215, respectively. Wes Everett won by forfeit at 285.
