      As we now have entered the new year of 2009, we need to remember an amazing story I heard years ago. A wealthy man had died. He left detailed instructions about how his immense fortune was to be distributed. Among other things, his wife was to turn over a large sum of money to a poor minister who had often remembered the family with deeds of kindness.

Sharon church has new pastor

      Alan Wyant was installed as pastor at Sharon Baptist Church on Sunday. A Carroll County native, he graduated from Carroll High School in 1980 and was a member of the singing group, "His Reflection." After graduation, he moved to Greentown and married his wife, Joanie, in the fall of 1981. They moved to Rhema, Okla,, to attend the Bible Training Center.
