Max D. Teel, 56, formerly of Brookston, died Jan. 1, 2009, at Regency Place in Lafayette.

Born July 11, 1952, in Lafayette, he was the son of Benny D. and Marjorie A. Shaffer Teel.

Mr. Teel worked for the Monticello Bowling Alley for many years and was a member of the Chalmers Community Church.

Surviving are two sons Sean Teel (wife: Heather) and Denny Teel (wife: Tina), both of Indianapolis; two stepsons Chris Hill (wife: Kathryn) of Lafayette and Toby Rogers of Indianapolis; three brothers, Ralph Teel (wife: Jan) of LaGrange, Lynn Teel (wife: Kandy) of Chalmers, and Randy Teel (wife: Brenda) of Brookston.

Services were held Monday in Brookston. Burial followed at Chalmers Cemetery in Chalmers.
