The Carroll County EITC is seeking volunteers to help with the new Volunteers Income Tax Assistance (VITA) tax program in Delphi. Each year dedicated volunteers train and volunteer their time to give back to the community. As the New Year settles in the Carroll County Comprehensive Land Use Plan Steering Committee will settle into writing new zoning ordinances for Carroll County. The county's old zoning laws were written in 1971, and according to area plan commission member, Pete Wagoner, are out of date in many areas. More ... The Delphi Lions Club sponsored a poster contest, "Peace Begins With Me" last fall for students ages 11, 12 and 13. Purpose of the contest was to encourage young people to artistically express their visions of peace. The following winners were selected: first place - Shelby Bradshaw; second place - Wyatt Rumell; and third place - Bransen Shidler. More ... The Indiana Department of Child Services is offering a 20- hour pre-service training course for prospective foster parents. The course will help prepare foster, adoptive and kinship parents for their caregiving experience. Anyone interested must be 21 years old. Single parents are also eligible to apply. More ...
