Flora-Monroe Twp.

It's time to vote for your favorite book of the year. We want to know what the Flora area has been reading and talking about this past year. There are three categories: adult, young adult, and children. Books can be nonfiction or fiction. Pick up your voting form at the circulation desk starting January 12. Patrons may also email their votes to floralib@flora.lib.in.us.

The Indiana 2009 Travel Guide is available at the library. Plan a Hoosier vacation or daytrip easily with the information provided in this publication. Spend a long weekend at one of many festivals, go antique shopping in charming Indiana towns, or enjoy art at one of the state's world class museums. This guide will provide a great resource as you travel the state. It will direct you to local attractions, restaurants, and hotel accommodations.

The guide separates the state into regions, listing places to visit and where to stay in each region. Special features include Indiana Wineries, Arts & Culture, Girlfriend Getaways, Sports & Entertainment, Family Fun, Outdoor Recreation and Indiana Department of Natural Resources. Pick up your free copy on the main level of the library.

The theme for next storytime is "Winter." The weather outside is frightful, but it is delightful in the library! Since we've no place to go, let it snow outside, and we'll read warm cozy stories in the library. Storytime is Tuesday morning at 10 a.m.

The story currently playing on the library's Dial-a-Story is "The Cat and the Parrot." On Friday the story changes to "The Piglet Brother." Call Dial-a-Story at 967-3814.
