Five young people from Faith Lutheran Church celebrated their first communion during worship Sunday. They are Hanna Lopez, Blake Krpan, Samantha Forbes, Grant Gonzalez and Keegan Retzlaff. Their families all came forward and took communion with them for the first time.

Faith Lutheran Church will meet Jan. 11 after worship to organize a church outreach team. Anyone is welcome to come and take part in this new project.

Deer Creek Community Center is having a Bunco party instead of a euchre party on Jan. 25 at 5 p.m. A light supper will be served. Cost is $10.

Jenny Appleton of South Carolina traveled here with her son, Barry Appleton, and his wife, Tammi. They had lunch in Flora with Don and Jean Willy and Dot Fulton.
