SIA Foundation accepting grant applications
The SIA Foundation is accepting grant applications from Indiana not-for-profit organizations that are seeking funding for capital projects in the areas of arts and culture, health and welfare, or education.
Grant applications must be postmarked no later than March 31 to be considered for grants that will be awarded in June of 2009. The SIA Foundation typically funds capital needs between $1,000 and $7,000.
Indiana nonprofit organizations interested in applying must meet the following criteria: Funding must be used for investments in facilities, equipment or real estate rather than for operational funding.
Applying organizations must be either tax-exempt under the Internal Revenue Code Section 501 with a chapter office in Indiana; an educational institution in Indiana; or an Indiana governmental or quasi-governmental entity.
The SIA Foundation accepts applications for funding in the following Indiana counties: Tippecanoe, Carroll, Clinton, Boone, Hendricks, Montgomery, Fountain, Warren, Benton, White, Cass, Miami, Howard, Madison, Hamilton, Marion, Clay, Vermillion, Newton, Jasper, and Pulaski.
