      J.P. "Pete" Huddleston, 70, a former long-time Delphi resident and oneyear resident of Lafayette, died at 12:50 p.m. Monday, Jan. 5, 2009, at his residence.       Carol Ann Spesard, 68, of Cutler, passed away at 8:40 p.m. Saturday, Jan. 3, 2009, at her residence following an 18-month battle with cancer. Born March 26, 1940, in Deer Creek, she was the daughter of Woodrow Wilson Hawn and Martha Boyer Hawn. She graduated from Delphi High School in 1958. Her marriage was on July 23, 1958, in Delphi to Lowell Lee Spesard, who survives.

      Max D. Teel, 56, formerly of Brookston, died Jan. 1, 2009, at Regency Place in Lafayette. Born July 11, 1952, in Lafayette, he was the son of Benny D. and Marjorie A. Shaffer Teel. Mr. Teel worked for the Monticello Bowling Alley for many years and was a member of the Chalmers Community Church.

      Jack B. Hancook, 83, of Delphi, died at 7:20 a.m. Monday, Jan. 5, 2009, at his home. He had battled colon cancer since November 2003. Born Aug. 4, 1925, in Kokomo, he was the son of the late Clarence and Hazel Bourne Hancook. His marriage was on Oct. 4, 1946, in Kokomo, to N. Jane Wilson, who survives.
