Burlington Community Library will offer a six-week Toddler Story Time on Thursdays, from 10-10:30 a.m. Dates for the story times are Nov. 6-20 and Dec. 4-18. Each week will have a special theme. Thanksgiving and Christmas will also be highlighted. Children will enjoy stories, music and art projects. Contact Karen at 765- 566-3166 with any questions.

The book discussion group's November selection is, "The Girls' Guide to Hunting and Fishing," by Melissa Bank. Hailed by critics as the debut of a major literary voice, the book has captivated readers and dominated bestseller lists. It maps the progress of Jane Rosenal as she sets out on a personal and spirited expedition through the perilous terrain of love, relationships, and the treacherous waters of the workplace.

The library's book club meets on the third Wednesday of the month at 10 a.m. in the Flora Senior Center building. Everyone is welcome. There are extra copies of the book available to check out before the meeting. The next meeting will be Nov. 19.

It can be difficult for persons with limited mobility to get to the library when the weather gets colder. Library Direct is a service offered by the library to assist individuals in the Flora library district who are homebound including the elderly, handicapped and those temporarily incapacitated by longterm illness or injury.

The theme for the next storytime will be Cowboys and Indians. The wild, wild, west will be at storytime today. Mosey up your cattle, saddle up your horse, and bring the younguns in for some good tales! Preschool storytime is Tuesday morning at 10 a.m.

Currently playing on Dial-a- Story is "Punishment: Pandora." Friday the story changes to "The Golden Touch." Call Dial-a-Story at 967-3814.

The library will be closed Nov. 11 in observance of Veteran's Day. Hours will resume Nov. 12 at 10 a.m.

Remember a friend, neighbor or family member serving in the military with an ornament for the "Hero Tree" located in the main entrance of the library.

The Faith-Based Book Club will meet at 9 a.m. Nov. 13 to discuss "The Leper" by Sigmond Brower. The story is set in 1853 London three days before Christmas about a returning serviceman who discovers he hasleprosy. Cinema Night is Nov. 13 at 7 p.m. "The Visitor," starring Richard Jenkins, is a 2007 drama about a college professor, Walter Vale, a recent widower who discovers a pair of homeless, illegal aliens living in his New York apartment. After the mix-up is resolved, Vale invites the couple to stay with him. A friendship develops between the quiet professor and couple. Refreshments and a discussion of the film will follow.

will hold a meeting Nov. 17 at 6:30 p.m.
