TMD Hillclimbing Team wins state championship

Vance "Cheezy" Lashley, co-owner of TMD Hillclimbing Team, won the state championship in the 450CC class at Cayuga. The event was held July 26-27.
Lashley raced his CRF 450, running a fast time of 4.3 seconds. He also had a great run in the Open Stock Class, finishing in second place, just under a tenth of a second behind the winner.
Chris Brown, who injured his right foot in Saturday night's race, continued on and earned a first place finish in the Open Stock class (on one foot). He rode again on Sunday and came in third place in the Open Stock class and fifth place in the 450CC class.
Zach "Tiny" Brown earned his first win on Saturday night in the 400CC Stock class. His best finish in the state championship on Sunday was third place in the 400 Stock class. He also finished fifth in the 250CC class.
Kyle "Munch" Lashley was consistent throughout the weekend. He put in a solid eighth place state finish in the 250CC class and a ninth place finish in the 400 Stock class.
Randy "Dash" McIlrath brought home a fifth place state finish in the 125CC class and a 12th place finish in the 400 Stock class. This is his first season of racing.
The TMD team will compete Aug. 8-10 in the National Championship Hillclimb in Waterford, Ohio.
