90th birthday

Juanita Hopp Scott will be honored for her 90th birthday with an open house on July 13. The event, hosted by her family, will be held from 1:30 to 3:30 p.m. at Pat's Country Barn near Flora.

Mrs. Scott was born May 13, 1918, in Boone County. She married Robert Scott in 1938 and they were married for 62 years before his death in 2000.

The couple resided in Clinton and Tipton counties before moving to Carroll County in 1954. They farmed for many years and later worked as custodians at Delphi Community High School, retiring in 1986.

Mrs. Scott has ten children, Ron Scott (wife: Marcia, deceased) of Kentland, Don Scott (wife: Susan) of Louden, Tenn., Jim Scott (wife: Marilyn) of Carmel, Aleta Tyner (husband: Ron) of Northbrook, Ill., Marilyn Pabst (husband: Ed) of Terre Haute, Mary Ellen Grubbs (husband: John) of Covington, Mike Scott (wife: Nancy) of Remington, Pat Curts (husband: Rick) of Delphi, David Scott (wife: Marilyn) of Greensburg, and Jeff Scott (wife: Theresa) of Brownsburg. She also has 25 grandchildren, eight stepgrandchildren, 26 greatgrandchildren, and six stepgreat grandchildren.
