Andrew D. Brannon

Andrew D. "Andy" Brannon, 65, of West Lafayette, died Wednesday, May 7, 2008, in his home.

Born April 14, 1943, in Glenville, West Virginia, he was the son of Herbert N. and Alva C. Turner Brannon. On Oct. 20, 1978, in Flora, he married Rita Seward, who survives.

He served in the U.S. Air Force from 1962 to 1967. He was stationed in Madrid, Spain, and Michigan.

For 30 years, Mr. Brannon worked as a forklift driver for Tate and Lyle in Lafayette.

He was a member of the Flora First Christian Church. He was also a member of the American Legion Post #492.

He enjoyed pitching horseshoes, sports, hunting and fishing. Most of all, he enjoyed spending time with his grandchildren.

Surviving with his wife are two sons, Matthew Garrison of Franklin and Gregory Garrison (wife: Leah) of Indianapolis; one sister, Rosemary Roberts, of West Virginia; one brother, Jack Brannon (wife Carolyn) of West Virginia; and five grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents, three sisters, six brothers, and a daughter, Angelina Chloe.
