Lock-Up is successful MDA fundraiser

A massive arrest of local leaders in Carroll County on May 8 benefitted the Muscular Dystrophy Association. They participated in the MDA Lock-Up at the Wabash & Erie Canal Center in Delphi.

Twenty-five local "jailbirds" generously volunteered to serve their time behind bars for the MDA. They called friends and business associates and raised $14,488 in charitable contributions to benefit the local programs of the Muscular Dystrophy Association.

Several local businesses supported the event with "jailbird" transportation provided by Dick Krieg Automotive and jailhouse food by the Stone House Restaurant.

Bail Raisers ($1,000 or more in donations) included:

• Fred Schnarr and the students of Carroll County Jr-Sr High School

• Marilyn Frey, Singletree Transportation

• Ron Francis, Carroll County Highway Department

• Curt Hufty, Collisions Unlimited, Inc.

• Anne Edwards, Delphi Maramart

• Monte Edging, Lafayette Bank & Trust

The contributions raised will continue to allow area families to receive comprehensive medical services in addition to MDA support groups and summer camp.
