EDUCATION NEWS

SCOTT MANNING received a Master of Business Administration degree in accounting from Indiana University - Bloomington on May 3. His Master's major was Assurance Risk Management. He will soon complete the CPA exam and begin employment as an audit associate with KPMG in Indianapolis in August. Manning is a 2003 graduate of Carroll Jr.-Sr. High School.

MAMIE VENITA JERVIS WISE is a graduate of Columbia University School of Law in New York City as of May 2008 with a Juris Doctor degree. She will be employed this fall with the firm of DLA Piper in Products Liabilities in their office in Times Square.

Wise earned her undergraduate degree from Duke University. She is the daughter of Madonna Jervis Wise and Ernest E. Wise of Zephyrhills, Fla.

TRISHA ENOCH graduated May 3 from Indiana University with a Bachelor of Science degree in dietetics. A 2003 graduate of Delphi Community High School, she is the daughter of Jane Enoch and Greg Enoch of Delphi.

NATHAN AMOS of Cutler, received a Bachelor of Science degree in computer information systems during graduation ceremonies April 26 at Indiana Wesleyan University.

HOLLY SPOONER graduated this month from Michigan State University with a Doctorate of Philosophy (PhD) in animal science. Her dissertation work was in the area of Equine Exercise Physiology and Nutrition and focused on the effect of dietary fiber type on the hydration status of endurance horses.

While at MSU, she instructed several courses and served as coach of the MSU Collegiate Horse Judging Team.

She has accepted a position as an assistant professor and extension horse specialist jointly with the Division of Animal and Nutritional Sciences and the Agriculture and Natural Resources Development Program at West Virginia University in Morgantown, W. Va.

Her role at WVU will include the development of an equine science curriculum within the university as well as development of extension horse programs to meet the needs of the West Virginia horse industry.

She and her husband, Scott, are relocating to Morgantown.

Her parents are Charles and Kathy Kenimond of rural Flora.
