Country Club clubhouse re-opens

The Carroll County Country Club clubhouse re-opened on weekends in early April and will host a ribbon-cutting today, Wednesday, at 5 p.m. The establishment is under new ownership by Tom and Susan Riehle of Lafayette.

Beginning May 4 the clubhouse will be open Sundays for brunch from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. and for lunch and dinner Tuesdays through Saturdays 11 a.m. to 10 p.m.

A country club employee told the Comet Tuesday the food is "fantastic."

Country club board president Al Shuler said he hoped the clubhouse would do well.

"We are looking forward to having (the clubhouse) open," Shuler said. "Success from there will help us, and in turn our success should help them. It will be good for all of us."
