4-H News Goat Weigh-In All 4-H Meat Wether Goats must be ear tagged, retinal image scanned and weighed by the 4-H Goat Committee in order for them to show in 2008. This year's weigh-in date is Monday, May 5, 2008 from 6:00 p.m. - 7:30 p.m. at the 4-H fairgrounds. If you just have dairy goats or pygmy goats, your enrollment forms are due May 15th. 1/16th Tractor & Truck Workshop A "hands-on" building day for the 1/16th tractor and trucks has been set for Saturday - May 3rd from 9:00 am - 3:00 p.m. at Eric Mellinger's home (Sycamore Valley Girl Scout Camp). 4-H'ers should bring their tractors and the money for the gearbox kits or parts that you will need. If working on trucks, please bring your trucks and remote. Don't forget to bring your lunch. Parents are welcome and encouraged to stay and help kids or help with building the dirt track for the truck pull. Carroll County Share-the-Fun Contest The annual Carroll County 4-H Share-the-Fun Contest will be held on Friday, May 2nd at 7:00 p.m. at the Delphi High School Little Theater. The contest will highlight 4-Hers' talents in the following areas: skits, music, dance, and magic routines. Hope everyone will come out for a fun filled evening on Friday May 2nd and support our 4-H'ers. Fun Day for Second Graders Second graders and their parents are invited to a Mini 4-H Fun Day at the 4- H Building on Saturday, May 10th from 9:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. The program includes many fun "handson" events such as: Dogs; EMS, First Aid, Crafts, Horses and Foods. NOTE: The workshop is free of charge. At the workshop, we will be preparing our lunch (peanut butter and jelly sandwiches and fruit kebabs). Drinks are provided.
