And then the sun came out in Flora!
The 12th Annual Carroll County Garden Fair, organized by the local garden club, hosted approximately 30 booths at Flora Community Park Saturday. The event was conceived to promote gardening in Carroll County. "We like to grow things to sell too," organizer Judy Berkshire said. Pictured with one of her creations, a gazing ball, is Delphi resident LeAnn Toole. This was the first Garden Fair in which she participated although she has attended the event for years. Other visitors came from far and near to look, talk and purchase garden and lawn goodies. "Anytime you bring groups of people to town, it's good for the community," Flora town clerk Joretta Tinsman said as she walked through the fair with a newly purchased gazing ball. "We are glad the garden club pulls this event together every year." Comet photo by Debbie Lowe
