EH members honored for achievements

Carroll County Extension Homemakers celebrated achievements of outstanding clubs and individuals at their annual Friends Day/Achievement Awards on April 17. The theme for the day was "Kitchen Klassics."

Six new members were recognized with an IEHA pin: Brenda Young, Cheryl Milburn, Teresa Fife, Mary Simpson, Darice Sheiss, and Patricia Beckman.

Each club chose a member to receive its Volunteer Angel Award. Winners were Pam Munsterman, Adams Township; Eleanor Sheets, Dolly Madison; Barb Dillon, Double Dozen; Judy Downham, Classy Classics; and Helen Ennis, Silver Bells.

The overall Volunteer Angel winner was Barb Dillon. She was given a Willow Tree angel.

The Volunteer Angel Club Award was won by the Double Dozen EH Club.

Cultural Arts winners were Virginia Marcellino, first place, for her cross-stitched picture; Margaret Childers, second place, for her crocheted afghan; and Doris Walton, third place, for her knitted handbag.

Virginia Marcellino will represent Carroll County at the State IHEA Home and Family Conference in June at Purdue.

Teddy Bear winners were Pam Munsterman, first place, and Judy Downham, second place.
