Bethel College signs McCarter

The Bethel College track program has announced the signing of hurdler Jaime Mc- Carter from Carroll Jr.-Sr. High School. She will also be a part of the women's tennis team at Bethel.

McCarter has run personal best times of 16.70 in the 100-meter hurdles, 48.43 in the 300-meter hurdles, and 28.0 in the 200-meter dash. She has also hit 13'8" in the long jump and has been part of the 4x100 relay team. Her accomplishments include being named team captain this season, advancing to regional in the 300-meter hurdles during her sophomore and junior seasons, and winning sectional her sophomore year in the 100-meter dash. She finished second at sectional her junior year in the 300-meter hurdles and eighth at regional. She has been named All-Hoosier Heartland Conference in the 100-meter hurdles and 300-meter hurdles her junior season.

"We are thrilled to have Jaime in our track program at Bethel," said head track coach Tony Natali. "Jaime comes in at a great time as we graduate our three hurdlers after this season. She will join three other freshmen in the hurdles which will give us great depth in those events over the next four years."

McCarter is the daughter of Jim and Teresa McCarter of Burlington.
