'Empowering Choices' at Delphi Public Library Author, speaker, radio talkshow host and mother, Kendra Smiley will present "Empowering Choices" at Delphi Public Library April 22 at 7 p.m. Live life intentionally! That describes Smiley's life and the message she brings to her audiences. According to Smiley, life is a wonderful smorgasbord of choices and everyone is responsible for and empowered by the choices they make. Smiley makes that point by noting, "My mother always used to say, 'All we have to do is die and pay taxes.' Respectfully, I would say to mom, 'You're only half-right! Paying taxes is a choice (an intelligent, law-abiding choice…yet a choice nevertheless)." Smiley challenges and encourages listeners to become aware of the myriad of choices in life - and to make the next right choice. She has a unique, humorous approach that appeals to listeners of all ages. In each message she teaches Bible-based skills essential to move forward in life. She also provides the audience with the motivation to make positive life changes. Smiley's numerous books bring a practical and comical approach to ordinary problems that come along with parenting, toddler tantrums, teenage years, families and aging. Smiley's books include "Do Your Kids a Favor," "Love Your Spouse," "The One Year Life Verse Devotional," "Be the Parent: Seven Choices You Can make to Raise Great Kids," "Empowering Choices," "Aaron's Way: The Journey of the Strong Willed Child and High Wire Mom." Seating is limited for the event. Call the library at (765) 564- 2929 for reservationsw. The library is located at 222 E.Main St., Delphi. |
