Flora-Monroe Township

National Library Week (April 13- 19) is a time to celebrate the contributions of libraries, librarians and library workers in schools, campuses and communities nationwide - and the perfect time for our community to come together at your library.

There are many ways to celebrate National Library Week at the Flora Library.

• Come to the big blowout book sale sponsored by the Friends of the Library. The sale will have something for everyone. Come early for the best deals!

• Listen to Dial-a-Story and hear one of Carroll Elementary's fourth graders reciting a James Whitcomb Riley poem. Currently Bradi Rhine is performing, "Little Girl, Two Little Girls." Friday Collin Burge will be reading, "The Bumblebee." Call Dial-a-Story at 967- 3814.

• Check out our new laptop computers available to use in the library to patrons 18 years old and above. Work on that résumé, type that college paper, and research your family tree, all without being interrupted.

• Experience the art displays of Brenda Daly Reid's Portrait Art Class, and Grace Woodruff's Art Enrichment class student work from Carroll Elementary School.

• Visit storytime as we explore the theme, "National Library Week!" Silly stories, songs and more will be the rule of the day. The fun begins Tuesday mornings at 10 a.m.

Come in on Tuesday, April 15, to help us celebrate National Library Worker's Day. National Library Worker's Day is a day for library staff, users, administrators and Friends groups to recognize the valuable contributions made by all library workers. Refreshments will be available.

Take the next level of Get Fit, Flora! by starting the Ready, Set, Walk! initiative which will roll out on Thursday, April 17.
