DCMS wrestler earns All-American honors

Tanner Lynde, an eighth grader at Delphi Middle School competed in the Middle School National Duals last weekend in Danville, Ill., where he earned All-American honors. Lynde wrestled for Team Indiana Gold. His team finished second in the event against 20 teams representing 10 states.

Lynde had a record of 6-1 with individual results of 15- 0 against Ohio, 6-4 against Illinois Bronze, a forfeit against Kentucky due to injury, pin-fall against Nebraska Blue in 38 seconds, 4-1 against Illinois Silver, 7-2 against Illinois Gold and fell in the finals 2-11 against Michigan.

Team Indiana Gold finished the tournament with Indiana's highest placement in the history of the tournament. The team had ten All-Americans, a record for Indiana.
